Astrophotography has always been an interest of mine, being able aim the camera up and take a picture, revealing all the specks of light that are just out of view with the naked eye is just breath taking. I drove over to the Lake Tahoe Scenic Overlook on the side of Mt. Rose, sitting at around 7,500 feet and was treated to some amazing views, though perhaps a bit more lite pollution than I had expected. I even managed to, but pure chance, catch the tail end of the Eta Aquariid meteor shower.
