I went on a two day, one night trip in my car to the Eastern Sierras, sleeping in my car for one night. This trip was simply nonstop breathtaking scenery and I kept finding myself pulling over to the side of the road to take a picture of the mountains. My trip started at Mono Lake and it's famous Tufa limestone towers.

Afterwards I drove to the Hot Creek Geologic Site, which has some geothermal springs that flow into the stream. I got there via the June Lake Loop, which goes past Grant Lake.
The final leg of day one and the return trip were mostly uneventful, but with no gap in amazing mountains everywhere I looked. I feel like I only got a tiny taste of the area and I am looking forward to coming back with a more capable offroad vehicle.
