Animal Ark is a wildlife sanctuary in Red Rock, north of Reno. Started in 1981 and opened to the public in 1984, Animal Ark houses injured and non-releasable animals, including rescued illegal exotic pets. While my trip there was quite hot, and the glass windows created a constant battle with reflections, I had a wonderful time walking around and looking at the animals.
